The St. Louis Arch, in St. Louis, Missouri

“If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living.” ~Gail Sheehy

Change is, once again, in the air. I said farewell to my friends at Scrubs & Suits late last year when my contract ended. And more recently, I said farewell to my friends at Patch when that one ended.

While I truly enjoyed both the work and the colleagues and was sad to see the contracts end, it’s the nature of the industry. As one colleague told me in a farewell email, we might just end up working together in the future.

On the plus side, several colleagues have agreed to endorse me, and a few have actually done so on LinkedIn–you can check them out right here on my LinkedIn profile. I know the others will when they have time–being a Patch editor is hard work that consumes a good majority of one’s days.

What I’m Doing Next
I’m in talks with a couple of different potential employers and have been discussing freelance projects with a few potential clients.
I have also resumed my position as the St. Louis Family & Parenting Examiner in the meantime, mostly to feed my news-writing addiction that Patch used to fill so well.
And speaking of my news-writing addiction, one of my personal projects will also help in that area. I’m building a new site called St. Louis Observer, which will be an online newspaper of sorts. The details will come soon, but in the meantime, please like the St. Louis Observer’s Facebook page, and share it with your friends who might be interested.
I’m still developing my Gossipfest project and Project Blissful is well under-way. I have a few other things in the works too–but I’ll save those details for my next update.

That’s it for me. I’ll be back next week with more updates.

Until then, I wish you peace, love, happiness and prosperity!
