Project BlissfulI have been so busy that I haven’t done an official career update since June, so here’s what’s been happening.

Scrubs & Suits

I am no longer working with Scrubs & Suits. While I thoroughly enjoyed the job and still enjoy writing about the healthcare industry, the site’s investor couldn’t continue spending the money since we were unable to find a dedicated sales person. I wish the client the best as he moves forward with the site on his own.

Patch.com

For now, I am still working with Patch.com part-time. After spending six months filling in for editors who were on maternity leave, I’ve moved to a position that is social-media focused. My contract, for now, is through April.

With that being said, I increased both editors’ audiences, traffic levels and social media presences significantly during my time in the roles. For example, the Florissant Patch Facebook page had just over 600 “likes” when I started, and by the time the editor returned, it was near 1,200–all organic and naturally acquired likes.

Now, I’ll be working with several Patch sites’ social media presences–including Florissant, Hazelwood, Maryland Heights, St. Charles, St. Peters, O’Fallon and Wentzville Patches.

The WM Network/Wakening Media

My partner and I both got very busy with our clients, so we sort of let the network go on hiatus for awhile after our flagship site was hacked. The site is now back online and we’ll be doing an official relaunch in the next few weeks.

Shoutout to Heather Chadwick for keeping our Pets site alive as we’ve struggled, and to our other bloggers who are still cranking out the posts. We promise, we’ll be back in to support you very soon.

My Current Progress PicsProject Blissful

I launched Project Blissful on Jan. 1. You can learn more here. I also launched a new 60-day Love Yourself Fitness Challenge on Feb. 14–and it’s not too late to get in! Learn more or just jump in, right here.

ItWorks

After falling in love with the products accidentally, I agreed to become a distributor for ItWorks Global (mostly because it gave me a 50 percent discount and made me look/feel amazing, to be honest!). I’ll be sharing my story and offering more info over at Project Blissful in the upcoming weeks.

Other

While I’ve had a few small freelance projects over the past few months, I am currently freed up, aside from my personal projects and half-time at Patch, so I am seeking new opportunities. Want to discuss my services? Take a look right here, or email me at angela@angelaatkinson.com.  There are also lots of other ways we can connect.

So, those are the big updates for now. I’ll try to keep you posted a little better from now on. 🙂
